Dance tells things that words cannot | with Sagí Amir Gros

Would you like to discover the power of movement, storytelling and artistic expression? We invite you to be part of a unique collaborative project that combines dance, theater and film in an immersive and inspiring experience. This FREE workshop will take place from April 14 to 19, 2025 in Cologne and will be led by choreographer and artistic director Sagí Amir Gros (WDTanztheater).

“Dance tells things that words cannot.” is an artistic journey that leads from personal expression to group connection, empathy and representation. In a series of creative workshops, participants will explore how movement and performance can tell stories that sometimes cannot be fully expressed with words alone. Working with themes of identity, resilience and representation, we will develop short scenes that combine dance, theater and film. The process culminates in a final live presentation where participants share their creative work in a performance and short film screening.

What can you expect?
– Daily workshops (2.5 hours per day) on movement, storytelling and artistic expression.
– A collaborative and inclusive environment, open to all levels – no previous experience necessary!
– Developing personal stories through dance and theater with a focus on identity and connection.
– The opportunity to be part of a short film highlighting individual and collective narratives
– A final presentation where you will showcase your work in a performance that combines dance, theater and film.

Who can take part?
This project is open to everyone, regardless of artistic background or experience. Whether you are a dancer, actor, filmmaker or simply someone who wants to explore new forms of creative expression – this is for you! The project was funded by the RheinEnergie Foundation and is realized in cooperation with ehrenfeldstudios.
